The Punjab government has officially launched the CM Punjab Ration Card Program to support low-income families struggling with rising food prices. Announced by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on April 29, 2025, this initiative aims to ensure food security and reduce the impact of inflation across the province.

In the first phase, 1.25 million deserving families will receive monthly financial assistance through a digital smart ration card, making it one of Punjab’s largest welfare programs in recent years.

The CM Punjab Ration Card Program is a government-backed welfare scheme designed to help vulnerable households manage basic kitchen expenses. Under this program, eligible families receive Rs. 3,000 every month, which can be used to purchase essential groceries from registered stores.

Eligibility Criteria for CM Punjab Ration Card

  • Permanent resident of Punjab
  • Registered in PSER (Punjab Socio-Economic Registry)
  • Monthly household income below Rs. 50,000
  • PMT score less than 35
  • Valid CNIC with a registered mobile number
  • Not a government employee
  • Not receiving benefits from BISP
  • Only one applicant per family

Both men and women can apply if they meet the criteria.
